Aaron Correa is another University of Hawaii at Hilo baseball player who found his way back home and he showed baseball fans how happy he was in pitching the Vulcans to a 6-3 win over Northwest Nazarene University in Wong Stadium.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been here and I feel relieved,” Correa said. “I sat out for a year and I was nervous being back on the mound here in Hilo and facing everybody.

“I was nervous in the first inning but all the jitters went away after that.” Full Story »

The University of Hawaii at Hilo played without two starters and a key reserve then fell to Notre Dame de Namur University 60-51 in a Pacific West Conference game in the UHH gymnasium.

The Vulcans are 6-14 overall and 3-6 in the PacWest while the Argonauts are 11-11 overall and 7-4 in the PacWest. Full Story »

Moving the ball around, the University of Hawaii at Hilo claimed a 70-50 victory over Notre Dame de Namur University in a Pacific West Conference game in the UHH gymnasium.

The Vulcans are 12-7 overall and 6-3 in the PacWest while the Argonauts are 2-20 overall and 0-11 in the PacWest. Full Story »

Kevin Tamura racked up a pair of wins in the University of Hawaii at Hilo’ 7-2 loss to Hawaii Pacific University in men’s tennis on the UHH tennis courts.

Tamura teamed with Stephen Royalty to HPU Anton Samuilau and Aleksandar Markov 9-7 then beat Nikola Petrov in first singles 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Full Story »
